Join us for a hands-on Basic Binding Techniques workshop at Ana's Sewing Studio in Green Bay! This class is perfect for beginners and those looking to refresh their binding skills. You’ll learn how to make and apply both Regular Binding and Faux Flange Binding.

What You’ll Learn:

• Step-by-step instructions for creating and applying Regular Binding and Faux Flange Binding.
• Tips and techniques for ensuring clean, professional finishes.
• Additional binding methods may be covered if time allows, with future classes planned to explore options like Prairie Points and Bias Binding on curved projects.

What to Bring:

• Sewing machine in good working order (don’t forget the power cord and foot control).
• Various presser feet: ¼” foot, stitch-in-the-ditch foot (if available), open toe foot, walking foot, and a foot for zig-zag stitching.
• Quilt sandwiches: Bring 2 pieces of 18” squares or 2 fat quarters to create 2 quilt sandwiches, and 2 additional pieces of 9” x 9” or larger for other finishing techniques.
• Approximately ½ yard of fabric for bindings (fabric will be cut in class). It can be from your stash and doesn’t have to match.
• Binding clips (like Clover Wonder Clips), threads (a variety is helpful), machine needles, fabric markers, pins, scissors, and other basic sewing supplies.
• Rotary cutter & mat, and a 6” x 24” cutting ruler.
• All fabric should be starched before class.
