Feather Fantasy Wall Hanging (A Sew Steady Template Project)
Let your creativity take flight with the Feather Fantasy Wall Hanging class! Using the amazing Sew Steady templates, Vonnie will guide you in crafting intricate feathered blocks on your regular sewing machine. This project uses the Quilt-As-You-Go technique, making it approachable and fun for all skill levels.
In each session, you’ll create one or two blocks, experimenting with feather, circle, and rope templates to add flair and personality to your design. The final project will be a stunning wall hanging that’s uniquely yours.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:
• You will need to make quilt sandwiches in class. The fabric list will refer to fabrics for “Back & Front”. This means you will have a front or top fabric, a layer of batting and the backing fabric. You can use whatever “back” fabric you want – it can be plain or patterned. The “front” fabric should be either plain or with only a slight pattern or shading. Your quilting should be the star, not the fabric.
• Fabric A (Quilted feather area) – ¾ yard each for front & back
• Fabric B (sashing fabric – white or very light color) – ¼ yard each for front & back
• Fabric C (the strips used to join the blocks) – ¼ yard each for front & back (should be a
contrasting or patterned fabric)
• Binding – ½ yard – can be the same fabric as Fabric C
• Batting – Craft size – you can also join small batting scraps together (as long as they are the same type) to make batting pieces the same size as your fabric block. We can show you how to join them in class.
