This project is the perfect introduction to the Studio 180 Design Wedge Star tool. You will learn how to use this versatile ruler to cut and piece intricate-looking wedges with total accuracy. The result is a professional-grade 24" x 24" wall hanging that showcases a rainbow of colors (or any palette you choose!). Best of all, this project is Fat Quarter friendly, making it a great "stash-buster" or an excuse to pick out a new bundle of fabrics.

• Dates: 3 Saturdays — January 24, February 7, & February 14

• Time: 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Please bring a snack or lunch)

• Cost: $50 (Plus fabric, pattern, and ruler)

Note: The Full Spectrum pattern and Wedge Star tool are required for this class. Both (along with the optional Mini Wedge Star) are available for purchase at Ana’s using your class discount!

Student Checklist: What to Bring

• Required Tools: Full Spectrum Pattern (Studio 180), Wedge Star tool (Required), Mini Wedge Star (Optional but handy).

• Fabric Requirements: * 6 Fat Quarters (one for each color).

  • ½ yard background fabric.

  • 1/3 yard for binding.

  • 27” square of backing and batting.

• The Basics: Sewing machine (serviced) with power cord, foot control, manual, and extension table (if available).

• Sewing Kit: ¼” foot, fresh machine needles, extra bobbins, threads for piecing/quilting, rotary cutter (sharp blade), medium cutting mat, fabric markers, pins, clips, and a seam remover.

Mandatory Prep: Please press and starch all fabric before the first day of class to ensure the most accurate cuts!
