Stitch Your First Quilt: 5-Part Summer Beginner Series

Welcome to the world of quilting! If you have always wanted to make a quilt but didn't know where to start, this is the perfect opportunity. Join Ana’s Sewing Studio in Appleton for our Summer Beginning Quilting Series.

This isn't just a class; it's a comprehensive foundation designed to give you all the skills necessary to quilt with confidence. Over the course of five sessions, our expert instructors will guide you through every single step of the process.

What You Will Learn:

• Session 1: The Foundation. Material selection (choosing the right fabric and batting) and decoding quilt patterns.

• Session 2: Precision Cutting. Learning safe and accurate rotary cutting techniques.

• Session 3: The Perfect Seam. Piecing your quilt top, focusing on accurate seam allowance and proper pressing.

• Session 4: Putting it Together. Assembling quilt blocks into rows and adding borders.

• Session 5: Finishing Touches. We will cover the final steps to get your quilt ready for the longarm or home machine quilting.

By the end of this series, you won’t just leave with a completed quilt top—you will leave with a new passion and the confidence to tackle future projects on your own.

You should have your own sewing machine.  You can bring thread and fabric or use your 15% class discount and new knowledge to purchase materials from Ana.  We have irons, ironing boards and cutting mats to use in our classroom. You will need your own rotary cutter.  We will be discussing rotary cutters which you can also purchase with your class discount at Ana's.
